Recovery method for overload abnormality of pneumatic punch machine-Saint Fighter

Recovery method for overload abnormality of pneumatic punch machine

Pneumatic punch machines are widely used in industrial production due to their high efficiency and precision driven by air pressure. However, during operation, overloading issues may occur from time to time, and if not addressed in a timely manner, it can affect production efficiency and equipment lifespan. The following provides a detailed introduction to the recovery methods for overload abnormalities in pneumatic punch machines.

1. Reasons for abnormal overload of pneumatic punch machine

Abnormal overload of pneumatic punch machines is usually caused by various factors such as abnormal air pressure, component damage, and oil problems. Excessive or insufficient air pressure can cause unstable power output of the punch press, leading to overload; Damaged components such as pump jamming and solenoid valve failure can interfere with the normal operation of the punch press; Using oil that does not meet specifications can affect the lubrication and performance of the punch press, leading to overload.

2. Recovery operation steps

1. Emergency stop
When an overload abnormality is found in the pneumatic punch machine, such as the overload indicator light coming on, the slider stopping movement, or abnormal noise, the punch press operation selection switch should be immediately placed in the "off" position, the punch press power source should be cut off, and then the "motor stop" button should be pressed to stop the motor from running and prevent the fault from further expanding.
2. Investigate the cause
Check if the closing height of the punch press is correct. If not, adjust the mold height to a suitable range; Confirm whether the stamping process exceeds the nominal tonnage of the punch press, and if so, select a suitable machine for use; Disassemble the mold for inspection to confirm if there are any issues such as damage, wear, or improper installation.
3. Reset operation
Reset according to different types of overload safety protection devices. For hydraulic overload safety devices, set the toggle switch on the control panel to the normal position, switch the operation toggle switch to the inching position, and operate the pressure switch to raise the slider to the starting position. After about one minute, the overload safety protection device will resume and the oil pump will automatically stop. For the overload safety device with limited oil pressure, first close the stop valve switch in the overload device piping to prevent the oil pump from running. Then, remove the screw bolt of the overload safety protection device oil circuit in front of the slider to allow the oil to flow away. After the pressure inside decreases, fix the screw bolt in place to start the motor and drive the pulley to idle. Later, run it at full speed. Switch the operation switch to inching and then press and release the pressure switch. If the clutch cannot operate, switch the overload switch to the reset position, and repeatedly press and release the pressure switch to raise the slider to the starting position. After the upper and lower molds are pressed and released, open the stop valve switch in the piping of the overload device, and normal operation can be achieved.
4. Trial operation

After resetting the overload safety protection device, run the punch press slowly to confirm if it is operating normally. If the trial run is normal, normal operation can be carried out.

3. Preventive measures

To reduce the occurrence of overload abnormalities in pneumatic punch machines, regular comprehensive inspections and maintenance of the pneumatic punch machines should be carried out, and lubricating oil should be replaced and filter screens should be cleaned according to the requirements of the user manual; Develop operating standards, provide training for operators, and ensure that they are proficient in operating skills and safety knowledge; Maintain a clean and well ventilated environment around the punch press.
When the pneumatic punch machine is overloaded abnormally, press the emergency stop button first to cut off the power supply and ensure safety. Next, check the air pressure. If it is too high or too low, adjust the pressure regulating valve to the normal range. Check if the oil pump is damaged, and replace it with a new one if it is damaged. If the interior is not clean, disassemble and clean. Recheck the overload solenoid valve, fuel tank, lining and other components, and replace them promptly if they are damaged or aged. After confirming that there are no errors, adjust the operation selection to "inch movement", press the operation button to raise the slider, and restore the normal operation of the punch press after the situation is eliminated. Daily maintenance should be done to avoid abnormalities.
